Pat Whitcomb | Founder

Pat Whitcomb brings over four decades of hands-on experience in construction and more than 25 years specializing in luxury pools, spas, and outdoor living environments. His career began in 1984 in the construction trades, and by the late 1980s he had become a successful owner-operator of a custom hardwood flooring company, which he led until 1999.

In early 2000, Pat transitioned into the pool and outdoor living industry, joining California Pools and Spas in the Coachella Valley (now Tessera). There, he trained under some of the industry’s most respected professionals, mastering the art and science of building high-end pools, spas, and outdoor spaces. His dedication to quality and craftsmanship quickly set him apart, earning him the role of top superintendent responsible for constructing multiple award-winning pools and spas over several years.

Pat went on to serve as a lead builder for premier outdoor living companies including Desert Outdoors and, most recently, Majestic Pools and Spas in San Diego. His reputation for excellence, precision, and reliability has made him a trusted name in luxury outdoor construction.

Together with his wife Diana and their three daughters, Pat founded Pacific West Outdoors, a family-owned company built on integrity, craftsmanship, and a passion for creating exceptional outdoor spaces. Today, Pacific West Outdoors designs and builds luxury pools, spas, and outdoor living environments throughout Southern California, with a primary focus on the San Diego and Riverside markets.
